CRMzone in Barcelona

At the beginning of the summer, we attended Zoho's partner conference in Barcelona. Unsurprisingly, AI was the dominant topic. It became clear that Zoho is entering a new phase in its approach to AI. Many exciting developments are on the way, although several of them unfortunately remain confidential. One central focus, however, is to further develop the data foundation across the Zoho platform so that it can support much stronger and more connected AI capabilities in the future.

At the same time, Zoho is attracting growing interest as an Indian software company. At a time when more organisations are taking a critical look at where their data is stored and which technologies they depend on, Zoho's focus on data security, privacy, and technological independence is particularly relevant.

This is especially evident in Zoho Workplace - Zoho's alternative to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace - which is currently one of Zoho's fastest-growing product areas.

Zoho news

Zoho invests in its own server technology

With its in-house developed Nathu La server, Zoho is taking another step towards greater technological independence and lower AI inference costs. This supports Zoho's long-term strategy of owning more of the underlying technology behind its platform.

New app: Zoho CommunitySpaces

CommunitySpaces brings discussions, knowledge bases, documents, and events together in one branded online community. It can be used for customer communities, membership areas, and premium content, for example.

Updates to your favourite apps

CRM

Rename standard fields in CRM

Administrators can now rename the labels of system-defined fields directly in Module Builder. This makes it easier to adapt CRM terminology to your own business language without changing the underlying fields.

Layout Rules become much more flexible

Layout Rules now include nine new actions, profile-based execution, and an interactive preview. Fields can be locked or validated, while relevant buttons, links, and related lists can be displayed based on both record data and the user's profile.

The import feature has been significantly improved

Import limits have been increased across all editions, and XLS/XLSX files now follow the same limits as CSV files. You can also import quotes, invoices, and sales orders directly into their modules and include related data such as subforms and multi-select lookups - resulting in fewer files, fewer steps, and less manual work during larger migrations.

Better overview and bulk actions in related lists

Related lists can now be opened in an expanded view with up to 100 records per page. You can filter records, select columns, and perform bulk actions such as updates, owner changes, tags, mail merge, and custom buttons without leaving the current record.

Zia Agents can now be included in Kiosk flows

A deployed Zia Agent can be called as a component in Kiosk Studio. The Kiosk retains its controlled step-by-step process, while the agent can analyse data or perform more complex actions and return the result to the flow.

Improve user adoption in Zoho CRM with Zoho DAP

Zoho CRM can now integrate directly with Zoho DAP (Digital Adoption Platform), giving users help and guidance exactly where they work. Interactive guides, step-by-step walkthroughs, a help centre, and targeted messages make it easier to onboard new employees and ensure that CRM is used correctly.

Meeting

Zoho Meeting upgrades to a new video platform

Zoho Meeting is moving to a completely new framework designed to improve stability, audio and video quality, and deliver a more reliable meeting experience - even when network connections fluctuate.

Creator

Databridge connects Creator to private databases

Databridge is installed within the company's private network and establishes an outbound-only connection to Zoho Creator. Creator apps can then retrieve data from Oracle, MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, among others, without exposing internal infrastructure to incoming internet traffic or copying the entire data set to the cloud.

New Portal Page Builder in Zoho Creator

Zoho Creator introduces a new Portal Page Builder that makes it easy to create professional, personalised portal experiences without coding. Ready-made templates and an intuitive design tool let you quickly build home pages, FAQs, and service pages that improve the visitor experience even before login.

SalesIQ

Summer '26: SalesIQ moves towards agent-based customer conversations

SalesIQ's summer release brings together new AI and automation capabilities designed to help teams handle conversations and next actions more intelligently. The update points towards a more agent-based support and sales experience.

Forms

Clearer and more visual forms

Spotlight Forms provides a more focused form experience, while the new Heading and Image Slider fields make it easier to structure long forms and present several images without overcrowding the page. This can be especially useful for application flows, product selection, and forms with many sections.

Sign

Mail merge templates directly in Zoho Sign

Zoho Sign can now use mail merge templates from Writer, allowing both short fields and complete text sections to vary from recipient to recipient. Merging and sending for signature take place in the same flow, while signature fields retain their position even when the length of the content changes.

Calendar

Manage your calendar using natural language with MCP

Zoho Calendar MCP connects an AI assistant to your calendar. You can ask the assistant to find available times across calendars, check participants' availability, create or reschedule meetings, and manage sharing.
